Sphaleros got to be Prime by just calling himself Prime. Technically, it's kinda heresy, but there are bigger problems with Sphaleros than simple disrespect.
Headshrinker has indeed know Megatron for four years because he's been captive for four years. *Why* he's been captive for four years is another question.
Headshrinker's attraction isn't primarily countertransference; it's simply down to the fact that he's got a type, and that type is big powerful war-machines. The main effect of the countertransference is that Headshrinker's personal ethics have crumbled quite a bit. You can't spend four years mentally fencing with Megatron and not learn how to handle a sword, so to speak ;) Not to mention that your partner will learn a lot about your style.
