Yeah, it's amazing how you can look back at books you loved and realise they were utterly terrible.
[I ran across some Gor books in our school library once. That was weird. Although not as disturbing as the "Little Sambo" series in the other school library]
The sexism is submerged in the fundamental concepts upon which the crazy life-energy plot is based. It's not so much presented as an accepted and unmentioned core of the foundation. It's hard to be as blatantly sexist as Gor. I'm told Mind Parasites is better but I'm not reading it either way.
