I can't speak for the Aerialbots, but Roddy and the Dinobots were all wonderfully in character, especially Grimlock. I love how he goes from protecting the Dinobots from Roddy to being protective of Roddy as an honorary Dinobot, and then pulling rank (which we hardly ever see in S3, sadly). Also, the story was cute and made me flail like a mad thing.
