I have both read the book and seen the TV series. I think you have completely misunderstood this fine collection of gothic horror tales. How old are you? Your write-up is that of a high school student trying to be clever. There is nothing misogynistic about any of the tales. I suggest you do some research and find out what the word really means. Did you know that the series was one of the most terrifying ever shown? That it had a cast of very fine, well regarded actors? Do you think they'd have wanted to be in a poorly written series? Actually, the book is the stories from the series and published simultaneously. It's hard to take seriously reviewer who can't even get that simple detail right.
